ELIGIBILITY
In order to qualify for a TBBT Graduate Fellowship, TBBT Scholars:
- must be a graduate of UCLA and a TBBT Scholar alumni
- must be in good academic standing
- must be admitted to a University of California STEM graduate program
Qualified programs include:
- Master’s or Ph.D. Program in a STEM field
- Medical School (M.D. or D.O.)
- Dual M.D./Ph.D. Program
- Dental school (D.D.S. or D.M.D.)
- Public Health School (M.P.H.)
- Pharmacy School (Pharm.D.)
- Veterinary School (D.V.M.)
- Nursing School (M.S.N., D.N.P., or Ph.D.)
- Optometry School (M.S., O.D. or Ph.D.)
- Physician Assistant Program (M.S., M.S.P.A.S., or M.P.A.S)
- Physical & Occupational Therapy Program (M.S., D.P.T. or M.O.T.)
Gap Year Eligibility:
Should a TBBT Scholar alumni want to apply for a graduate program more than a year after their undergraduate matriculation, they may be eligible to receive TBBT Graduate Fellowship. Gap-year funding will be determined by The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation on a case-by-case basis.
Part-time Eligibility:
TBBT Scholar alumni who are planning to pursue graduate studies part-time are eligible to apply for TBBT Graduate Fellowship. Applications will be reviewed by The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation on a case-by-case basis.
Re-application Eligibility:
TBBT Graduate Fellows who have completed a Master’s degree and intend to pursue a PhD or other professional degrees within STEM are eligible to apply for TBBT Graduate Fellowship. Applications will be reviewed by The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation on a case-by-case basis.
Annual Renewal Eligibility:
In order to maintain annual eligibility for TBBT Graduate Fellowship, continuing TBBT Graduate Fellows must:
- remain in good academic standing as defined by their specific degree program;
- maintain “full-time” status or meet minimum unit enrollment as defined by the specific degree program;
- remain within the University of California system;
- submit annual progress updates with the UCLA Chuck Lorre Scholars Program.
