SHAPING THE FUTURE OF STEM
THE UCLA CHUCK LORRE SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The UCLA Chuck Lorre Scholars Program aims to revolutionize STEM education by equipping economically diverse undergraduate students with the resources and support to make a meaningful impact in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The UCLA Chuck Lorre Scholars Program takes a uniquely holistic approach to supporting each scholar’s full academic and personal experience at UCLA. The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) Scholars receive comprehensive, individualized support to meet their specific academic, financial, developmental, and personal needs throughout their undergraduate experience. This comprehensive approach equips scholars with the resources to overcome any obstacles, develop as leaders, and be inspired to pursue graduate degrees in STEM. Upon graduation, TBBT Scholars are encouraged to apply for The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) Graduate Fellowship, which provides graduate support for a STEM program within the UC system.
As the program becomes a California-wide and national model for enacting this needed change, the UCLA Chuck Lorre Scholars Program will create a powerful and lasting ripple effect in STEM higher education.
